Comments
When and if visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your data
The Sanctuary Camping Club will never disclose data to any third party organisatio. We value your privacy and we don’t want you bombarded with spam or junk mail.
Data is held only by the the 2 Sanctuary Camping Club Officers charged with running the club and never by any other club member.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Any other club member who is found to have accessed data will be immediately removed from the Sanctuary Camping Club and given a lifetime ban with any data held in their possession immediately removed.
Any other data breeches will be investigated and acted on in whatever way possible to protect your data.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We may use certain anonymous elements such as your age, location, camping preferences and frequency of visits to help develop our marketing and promotional activities.
We may use your personal contact details to contact you about Sanctuary Camping Club offers, membership and Certificate renewals, changes in policies, Officers or specific club information. We promise that any contact will be as infrequent as possible.
We do not hold any personal data regarding your payment details other than how much you have paid for any Certificates issued and on what date.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
Because we are issued with Camping and Caravaning Exemption Licenses by Natural England, there may be times when Natural England wish to know more about our activities especially during the unlikely event of any complaint investigations. Their enquiries will be anonymous except for any extraordinary circumstances which may require contact details relating to a specific person or C.S.
