SUNSET VIEW Wild Camping and Caravan Site

4 acres of grassland tranquility and views over open countryside.

Sunset View offers exactly what the name promises, the most glorious views of the sunset!

This is the perfect place for exploring beautiful unspoiled sandy beaches, fossil hunting, Happisburgh light house and the incredible history of the North Norfolk Coastline. You may even be lucky enough to find your own piece of Amber.

Peace, quiet and the distant sound of the sea, set the scene for this beautiful retreat. You may like to explore any number of nearby beauty spots and places of interest, or you may just decide to bask in the tranquility of this site. A fantastic location for soaking up the unique feel of North Norfolk.

Nearby Stalham offers a large supermarket, an excellent butchers and a few independent shops alongside a range of takeaways.

The CAMRA Award winning Star Inn sits right next to the site serving real ales, a whole range of other drinks including tea and coffee and excellent home cooked food that certainly won’t leave you hungry! Your friendly landlord Karl also welcomes dogs either inside or outside in the generously sized beer garden.

For the ‘foodies’ amongst you, The Ingham Swan  offers multiple award winning fine dining but you will need to book well in advance.

East Ruston Vicarage Gardens is within walking distance and is an absolute pleasure to behold. Even non gardeners cannot fail to marvel at the winding trail of uniquely styled and imaginative gardens. Definitely worthy of a picnic and a full day’s visit.

A drive along the coast road will lead you through picturesque fishing villages to endless golden beaches and the delights of places such as Sheringham, Wells and Cromer which is world famous for its crabs.

Drive inland a little to find Norfolk’s Georgian market towns including Aylesham and Holt. You’ll also find stately homes such as Blickling and  Felbrigg which are both surrounded by open parkland which is open to the public.

Norwich and Great Yarmouth are also within easy driving distance.

MEET YOUR HOSTS

Two of the loveliest people you could ever wish to meet!

Mick and Sue used to run the neighbouring Star Inn and were responsible for its first CAMRA award, so great hospitality is one of their passions.

A relaxed, informal welcome is what you’ll receive and the freedom to pitch up wherever you like.

Semi-retired, they have no interest in becoming a busy, commercial site so you can always be sure of the perfect environment in which to unwind and with plenty of room to enjoy.

ECO CREDENTIALS

Mick and Sue love their field and everything around it so we’re more than happy to welcome them on board.

At the moment they offer separate bins for general waste and recycling, the ground is free of any chemical fertilizers and at the right times of the year you’ll find a small variety of mushrooms, blackberries and wild flowers nestled by the hedgerows. Pheasants and deer are regular visitors to Sunset View alongside a whole range of other wildlife.

There are a few improvements under discussion  and ways of adding greater bio-diversity to the site which is currently laid to grass and surrounded by wild hedgerows, Oak, Ash and Hawthorn trees.
